Johnny Bond was a popular singer in the 1940's, 1950's, and 1960's and an actor in over 40 movies. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1999.
Temperament that it hits on: Sanguine
Hot Rod Lincoln is obviously a very sanguine song. The guy doesn't care about what might happen and only cares about speed and winning, much like many other sanguines. This song is also a little funny to me and very fast-paced, so that contributes to my sanguine side as well.
Johnny Bond's Hot Rod Lincoln is actually a cover for Charlie Ryan's 1955 song. Bond released it in 1960 and it became a big hit. Here is Ryan's version, which I probably like better, followed by Roger Miller's. Which do you prefer?
